Cooperative Divorce and Cooperative Parenting Plans
What is a "cooperative divorce?"
Cooperative divorce is mediation for parties who want an uncontested divorce but need help resolving some outstanding issues or working through a few difficult conversations. During your cooperative divorce mediation, we'll help you discuss and draft your agreements with your spouse about community and separate property, including dividing assets and debts, personal property, real estate, retirement plans and pensions, military retirement, small businesses, spousal support ("alimony") and other concerns.

In a cooperative divorce, you'll meet with the mediator to discuss the terms of a self-represented, uncontested divorce. The mediator will help you fill out forms or draft documents if necessary. You'll meet virtually, and we'll send you the forms to sign and file yourself with the court. In a cooperative divorce, we don't represent either party or provide legal advice, but we will talk you through the process so both parties have what they need to agree or decide to get more information.
What is a "cooperative parenting plan?"
Like an uncontested divorce, cooperative parenting plans are for parents with general agreements about child custody timesharing, visitation, and support but want a mediator to help them ensure they've discussed their options and documented their agreements. This includes parentage cases where the parties are unmarried but want a formal agreement for their children.

You'll meet with the mediator to discuss the terms of your self-represented, uncontested custody agreement. The mediator will help you fill out forms or draft documents if that's the best solution. You'll meet virtually, and we'll send you the final forms to sign and file with the court. We don't represent either party or provide legal advice, but we will talk you through the process so both parties have what they need to agree or if they need more information.
